1. Return airfares Europe-Townsville, 1 ticket, from $1938
Virgin Blue and Emirates (see links below) have joined forces flying to/from Townsville to/from more than 100 destinations in 60 countries across the world.

This deal will streamline international travel, with one ticket and baggage checked-in to the final destination with free transfers between the domestic and international terminals in Sydney, Brisbane and Perth.

Some European destinations are London, Manchester, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Munich, Paris, Rome, Vienna and Zurich. Check Emirates or Virgin Blue for other destinations.

2. Magnetic Island chosen for sustainable tourism
Magnetic Island is one of only five destinations in Queensland chosen to pilot a Tourism Queensland sustainable project. This project aims to reduce the environmental impact of tourism and show the Island as a sustainable tourism destination.
