The AquaSearch Aquarium is the only facility on Magnetic Island for viewing a marine display. It is owned and operated by Dr. Rick Braley, a world expert on giant clams. The aquarium features 23 year old/85 kilogram aqua cultured giant clams as well as cultured clown anemone fish (Nemo's relatives), other marine fish and invertebrates. The aquarium has a touch tank for these amazing giant clams, which live, unlike in nature, very happily with clownfish. Come and view this unique coral reef and marine display. A lab tour, a view under the microscope, a video at the house and special educational Tours for schools can be arranged. Just $3 pp display only, lab tour/video $6 pp (min 5p).
